Last year, WeddingCakeHints featured a really sinfull chocolate wedding cake created by Shara. We thought we’d never see another one like it. We are glad to be proven wrong.
Sarah of LittleBakeHouse.co.uk whipped up… or rolled out this chocolate monster of a wedding cake she aptly named the Big Ol’ Pile of Chocolate. Three round tiers of cake wrapped in chocolate cigars and decorated with chocolate pebbles and chocolate-dipped strawberries. This cake won’t fail to lit up the eyes of chocoholic guests.

Note: We are terribly sorry for misunderstanding the permission given to WeddingCakeHints by the PinkCakeBox in featuring their creations. We have removed images of their cakes from our posts. Please click on the image we substituted to see the original image posted at their blog. Thank you.
Pumpkin pie! That’s what came to mind when we saw this creation by Chef Anne. Three burnt-sugar layers (a square one sandwiched between 2 round layers) filled with Oreos and cream. Frosting is chocolate-buttercream. Strategically-placed gumpaste acorns and autumn leaves complete this design fit for a thanksgiving wedding theme.

Sorry but that’s what really came to mind when we first saw this photo of a strawberry and chocolate wedding cake by Shara, death by chocolate. Just married couples who are ready to take their first bite of a copy of this cake must feel like they are about to commit the ultimate sin.
That’s 2 layers of sinful sweetness decorated with real strawberries and smothered in chocolate sauce. Simply writing that line made my mouth water.

If you are looking for a chocolate wedding cake in the UK, lady luck is on your side as Sarah can whip up a chocolate masterpiece just for you. Isn’t this modern and spotty rendition of a classic favorite quite lovely?.

Chef Mendy created this 4-layer chocolate and cream cake with delicate lacy borders. It’s topped and accented by white Calla Lillies. The flower represents majestic beauty and is a symbol of purity. Cakes with this motif are said to be just right for spring or Easter weddings but who cares? Beautiful wedding cakes are perfect the whole year round.

Pictures can be worth a thousand words but what they tell are sometimes not enough. Just take a look at this pink classic with clean and modern lines. Three pink layers united by a wide chocolate ribbon. There certainly is more to it than what the photo says. It makes a nice, light choice for those looking for chocolate wedding cake designs.

A closer view of this beauty…

Shara, the designer/creator, describes her as having “strawberry cake top and bottom layers… caramel and pastry cream filling on a vanilla cake middle layer.” Sounds yummy.
